It is a magical scene: little girls in taffeta and petticoats, dads in suits and ties, twirling gracefully around the decorated dance floor or laughing at the silliness of the Chicken Dance. It's the annual Father and Daughter Valentine's Dance, taking place this year on two Saturdays, February 6 and 20, with two dances each evening at Cedarcrest Middle School.
The early session on February 6 is already sold out, but tickets are still available for the 7:30 to 9:30 session that evening, and for both the 5 p.m. and 7:30 dances on February 20.
Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited to enjoy a memorable evening of dancing, refreshments and lots of fun. Tickets are $15 per couple, plus $5 for each additional daughter, and can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Office at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Rd. in Marysville.
Pre-registration is required for the event.
