For the sixth year in a row, the staff at Bourne Orthodontics in Marysville and Arlington collected Halloween candy in an effort to reduce orthodontic injuries, raise money for local organizations, and provide goodies for the troops. This year, Dr. Jason Bourne and his staff collected over 1,000 pounds of candy, resulting in $2,000 paid out to children who contributed the treats and $2,000 donated to local charities. All the candy collected is packaged and sent to troops serving overseas, thanks to the help of Arlington resident and USO representative Mary Welsh.
