The Arlington community gathered along Olympic Avenue November 11 to honor local veterans with a hometown parade. The color guard from VFW Post 1561 led the parade, followed by American Legion Post 76, the Arlington High School band, local scout troops, and veterans from various wars and conflicts. Several World War II veterans were transported down the route in a classic truck. In the afternoon, Boy Scout Troop 92 conducted a flag-retiring ceremony at Legion Park, and the American Legion post provided a community dinner.
