In its latest efforts to increase access to low-cost fitness-related recreational opportunities to residents, Marysville Healthy Communities Project partners have added free swim dates at the M-PHS pool, 5611-108th St. NE.

The series of free swim sessions started Oct. 23, with subsequent Friday dates scheduled for Nov. 20 and Dec. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. Swimming is free for the first 200 who attend.

"The Marysville School District and Marysville YMCA are key partners in the Healthy Communities Project's goal to give residents more access to low-cost recreational opportunities, and a way to become healthier and more physically fit," said Jim Ballew, Parks and Recreation Director.

Swimmers are asked to support the Marysville Community Food Bank by donating a nutritious canned food item at the pool. For more details about the Healthy Communities Project, visit www.marysvillehealthycommunitiesproject.com.
