The Arlington Garden Club has two events planned for November, as its members continue to nurture their green thumbs throughout the fall. The public and prospective members are welcome to attend.
The club's monthly meeting is set for Monday, November 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arlington Boys' and Girls' Club, 18513-59th Ave. NE. Michelle Clark, a certified professional horticulturist and a popular speaker in Pacific Northwest gardening circles, will present a hands-on program, with step-by-step instructions on how to plant a pot of bulbs to force into bloom before spring arrives.
On Saturday, November 14, the garden club continues its popular "Turn Your Thumb Green" workshop series with a hands-on holiday wreath-making activity. The workshop takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Boys' and Girls' Club Community Room.
The workshop is free for garden club members, and non-members are asked to pay a $4 materials fee.
