A free class sponsored by the City of Arlington and the WSU Master Gardener will teach locals how to "Grow Your Own Groceries," on Saturday, October 10, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The class will be held in the Arlington Boys' and Girls' Club Community Room.
The presentation is the final event in a season's worth of classes on how to grow a vegetable garden, designed specifically for new gardeners. Many veteran gardeners have also attended these classes and offered words of advice and knowledge to those with a developing gardening hobby.
This event will be a roundtable discussion on the gardens of all participants, including people who garden but have not attended the earlier talks. All are welcome to come and share.
One topic on the table will be a discussion concerning the possibility of offering future classes on growing small urban orchards and berries in the Pacific Northwest. The moderator is Bea Randall. For more information, call 360-435-3892.
