Maryfest has new office

Maryfest, the community organization responsible for Marysville's annual Strawberry Festival, has moved its operation to a new location.
The group's new office is at 1059-G State Avenue, next door to City Hall and in the same complex as Whitfield Insurance and Gary Wright Realty.
Maryfest had utilized the historic caboose located next to the railroad tracks at 4th Avenue and Cedar Street as its office, but a fire last month rendered the space unusable. On a tight budget, the volunteer organization scrambled to find a replacement location so their year-round work could continue.
Meetings to help plan the festival are held the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., now at the new office location. Volunteers and new committee members are always welcome. Call Maryfest at (360) 659-7664 or visit www.maryfest.com for more information.
