Matt and MonicaMiss Monica Celeste Best, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Best of Shelley, Idaho, and Matthew Warren Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wilson of Marysville, Washington, exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, September 5, at 3 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony in Caldwell, Idaho. Pastor Al Trachsel of Caldwell Methodist Church officiated the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, mother, and 3 brothers, the bride wore a floor length white gown featuring a short train and a halter neckline. She wore a short veil, trimmed with satin and carried a bouquet of lavender calla lilies, gerbera daisies, and a mixture of other purple flowers.

The maid of honor was Jenny Knutson. Monica's other attendants were Rebecca Williamson, Natalie Grindy, and Janna Bateman. All were beautiful in sage green floor length gowns with green beaded straps and waist sashes.

Jake Larsen served as best man. Matt's other attendants included his sister, Catherine Wilson, Andy Bacot, and Kevin Fournier.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the same picturesque setting. It featured a delicious feast, a live band, and an anniversary dance. The dance concluded with only the bride's grandparents left dancing to a favorite 1950's song from their youth. They were high school sweethearts who have been married more than 50 years.

Out of town guests included many friends of the bride and groom, the groom's aunt and uncle from Florida, his godparents from Eugene, Oregon, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins of the bride.

After a honeymoon in Daytona Beach, Florida, the couple will reside in the Meadowbrook community of Seattle, Washington.
