Children and grownups lined the parade route for the Tulalip Days Parade, held September 5 as part of the new 3-day event celebrating native culture and history, scooping up handfuls of candy thrown from passing floats, trucks and golf carts.

Tulalip Days offered a variety of activities, events and unique vendors over the Labor Day weekend. Native food favorites, including fry bread, grilled salmon and "res dogs" (hot dogs wrapped in fry bread batter) were available from vendors who set up alongside booths offering Coast Salish clothing, hats, art and accessories.

The playfields were busy with a softball tournament, while others opted for a canoe-pulling contest and traditional games of Sla Hal.
