The Arlington Garden Club is hosting several public events for gardeners, or those wanting to learn more about gardening, in September.
On September 12, join the group for a presentation by Diane Decker-Ihle, entitled "How to Start Year-Round Vegetable Gardening This Fall." The meeting, part of the Turn Your Thumb Green series, will be held Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the community room adjacent to the Arlington Boys' and Girls' Club, 18513-59th Ave. NE.
The public is invited to the presentation. A donation of $4 is requested from non-members.
Garden club members and guests are also invited to a September 14 meeting at Marysville's Sunnyside Nursery to hear owner and horticulturist Steve Smith speaking on summer and fall garden topics. Plan to meet at the Arlington Boys' and Girls' Club at 11:15 a.m. to carpool to the nursery for a light lunch and business meeting following Smith's presentation. A $3 donation is requested from non-members.
For more information on these and other events planned by the Arlington Garden Club, or to apply for membership, contact club president Bea Randall at (360) 435-3892 or send an e-mail to info@arlingtongardenclub.org.
