A group of 26 firefighters and paramedics with the Marysville Fire District were honored for milestone service years at a ceremony on August 19. Together, the men had racked up an impressive 355 years of service to the department.

"We need to celebrate this group for their years of service," said Fire Chief Greg Corn. "It is a great commitment they have made to Marysville Fire District and the community."

The district's Board of Directors joined the firefighters' family members and their peers in recognizing the men for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service.

Honored for five years on the job were firefighters David Burlingame, Tyler Dormaier and Ryan Swobody; firefighter paramedics Noah Pester and Trevor Trueax; and acting captain Sam Eagle.

The 10-year group included firefighter Tim Gunn; firefighter paramedics Paul Brough, Brent Carlson and Mirco Piazzi; and captain Ty Siegert.

Those recognized for 15 years on the job were firefighter Keoni Brown; firefighter paramedics Russell Colmore, Terry Matsumura and Craig Milless; battalion chief Jeff Cole; captains Cal Droke, Aaron Soper and Keith Taylor; and acting captain Jason Tucker.

Celebrating 20 years with the department were firefighters Carl Lewis and James Mizell.

Firefighters Dan Hageman and Rob Magee were recognized for 25 years of service, along with firefighter paramedic Russ Bennett and division chief Robert Spencer.
