Hawaiian shirts and flower leis are the suggested attire for this year's S.P.I.N. (Special People in Need) Dance at the Marysville YMCA, 6420-60th Dr. NE, on Saturday, August 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The Hawaiian Luau-themed dance will feature DJ Steve Conradi playing music from the '50s, '60s and '70s. Dancers will also have a chance to learn the hula, followed by a hula dance contest. Raffle prizes and door prizes will be given throughout the evening.
Admission to the S.P.I.N. Dance is only $1 or a can of food. All donations will benefit the Marysville Community Food Bank.
Participants should be comfortable in a group setting, and parent or guardian supervision is required. Wheelchairs are welcome.
