Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, a cooler full of goodies, and maybe some sunscreen to enjoy great free entertainment through August, courtesy of Marysville's Parks and Recreation Department.
The evening shows are presented Friday nights at 7 p.m. in the Lions Centennial Pavilion at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road. On July 31 enjoy the indie rock group Love Lights. The show August 7 features Rock Candy, performing rock 'n roll cover songs, and August 14 showcases Soul Purpose with soul and R&B sounds.
Thursdays at noon the stage of the Sunrise Rotary Pavilion at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Avenue, is host to great music and a relaxing lunchtime atmosphere. On July 30, hear the smooth jazz sounds of The Scott Lindenmuth Trio. Jimmy Free's Friends rock on August 6, and on August 13 the Mark Whitman Band performs rhythm and blues.
