For an old-fashioned 4th of July celebration, check out the all-day fun in Arlington on Saturday.
All
activities take place in and around downtown Arlington and Haller Park,
Hwy. 9 at the Stillaguamish River, starting at 7 a.m. and ending with
fireworks after dark.
Start your day off right with a pancake
breakfast at Haller Park from 7-11 a.m., in conjunction with the
Kiwanis Club scholarship auctions. Silent auctions begin at 8:30 a.m.
and 10:00 a.m., with
a live auction starting at noon. Proceeds provide scholarships for
Arlington and Lakewood high school seniors.

The kiddies have their own parade, beginning at 4:30 p.m., followed by
the Grand Parade down Olympic Avenue starting at 5 p.m. For those who
can’t resist the thrill of competition and exercise, Arlington takes
full advantage of the Stillaguamish River with its Pedal, Paddle, &
Puff triathlon.
The
rubber duckie Stilly Duck Dash will just quack you up! Be sure to buy
your barcoded tickets for a chance to win $5,000 in the unique race.
You won’t be able to resist joining in on this tom-quackery at 7:30
p.m. at Haller Park.
Wind down watching the fireworks grace the sky at dark in Quake Park.
