First Aid and CPR Training

Get certified in Basic First Aid or CPR. First aid classes will cover initial assessment, EMS activation, standard precautions, burn care, bleeding, shock, sudden illness, heat/cold emergencies, dislocations and fractures as well as specific body injuries. CPR classes teach the chain of survival, activation of EMS, emergency response, understanding what CPR is, manikin practice of CPR, and choking. First Aid and CPR courses meet requirements for DSHS, WISHA, OSHA, and L&I. First Aid will be held on Wednesday, May 27th from 5:45-9pm and CPR will be held on Thursday, May 28th from 6-9pm both classes will be held at the Ken Baxter Senior Community Center (514 Delta Ave., Marysville). Gluten-Free Baking

Sandy Nelson, retired teacher and living gluten-free will introduce you to gluten-free flours and other ingredients common to gluten-free baking. This workshop will be held on Saturday, May 30th from 9am-Noon at the Jennings Memorial Park Barn (6915 Armar Rd., Marysville). The cost is $45. Mediterranean Cuisine-Italy

Chef Michael Aspen will be tantalizing the taste buds in this Mediterranean Cuisine class focused on Italy. Trained at Le Cordon Blue London Culinary Institute, chef Aspen will delight you as he teaches these Mediterranean favorites. Class will take place on Monday June 1st from 6-7:30pm at the Jennings Memorial Park Barn (6915 Armar Road, Marysville). The class cost is $35. Nutrition - Explore the Fun of Juicing

Learn how to prepare, blend and juice a variety of delicious fresh fruits and vegetables into tasty and healthful drinks. This tasty workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd at the Marysville Public Library (6120 Grove St., Marysville) from 6:30-8:30pm. The registration fee is $17 and a supplies fee of $6 is payable to the instructor at class. Fundamental Yoga

Get in shape for summer with Yoga! Whether a beginner or experienced in yoga, certified instructors Angela and Jennifer Neeleman will help you get to the next step in your physical development. Concepts covered include: conscious breathing, body awareness, positioning, proper alignment and form. Classes are offered from 6:30pm-7:45pm on Tuesdays or 6:00pm-7:15pm Thursdays at Ken Baxter Senior/Community Center. 10 visit punch cards are available for $80 and 5 visit punch cards are $45. Itty Bitty Gourmets Visit Italy

Children ages 2 ∏ to 5 and their parents will love this hands on cooking class. Children will make individual pizza faces and strawberry lemonade as well as participate in a story and song time. The registration cost is $20 with an $8 supplies fee payable to the instructor at class. This fun class will be held on Thursday, June 4 from 10am-Noon in the Jennings Memorial Park Barn (6519 Armar Rd., Marysville).
