More than 500 pounds of food were collected from residents who took advantage of a free document shredding event held April 25 at E&E Lumber, along with cash donations of more than $350 for the food bank and a little more than $300 for the Christmas House organized by Operation Marysville Community Christmas (OMCC). The M-PHS football team unloaded approximately 8,500 pounds of paper-around 60 full dumpsters--to be shredded by the American Data Guard secure truck. Employees and volunteers from HomeStreet Bank, North County Outlook, Marysville Sunrise Rotary and the City of Marysville also participated in the Saturday event.
