If spring is finally here, Easter egg hunts can't be far behind.
Chrissie Clementson, owner of the Carabinieri Bar Espresso Stand on Marysville's Third Street, and other downtown merchants have planned a festive event for Saturday, April 4, complete with an egg hunt and free entertainment for the family.
All day long, visitors can pick up specially decorated eggs and prizes at participating Third Street stores. With Bunny Bucks discounts available, shoppers can also hunt for great bargains at the family-owned businesses.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., activities in the parking lot of the Carabinieri Bar, 1519 Third Street, will include the Kreakside Jazz Ensemble, a free bouncy house and popcorn, and an Easter story tent. The popular Drumming Bunnies will give 15-minute performances every hour on the half-hour from 11:30 to 1:30.
At noon, kids from ages 4 to 12 can take part in the Fit-Tastic Egg Hunt. Younger children, from 1 to 3 years of age, have their very own Wee One Egg Hunt from noon to 12:15 p.m.
The free festival is a community event. For more information, visit www.myspace.com/thecarabinieribar.
