The Marysville Girl Scouts participated in the regional council's Operation Cookie Drop with a roundup on Saturday, March 21. Customers were able to purchase boxes of cookies for donation to overseas troops during the recent sales campaign, and the Marysville haul was 19,140 boxes. Girl Scouts of Western Washington gathered a total of 112,000 cookie boxes. The cookies were delivered to Washington military bases for distribution to troops serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, other foreign posts and aboard military vessels.
