For all you chocolate lovers out there (and who isn't?), the event of the year is coming March 27.
The Chocolate Lovers' Gala, a benefit for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, sports a theme of "Lights, Camera...Chocolate!" this year. The annual extravaganza features more than 200 silent auction items followed by a gourmet dinner, the famous "Chocolate Dessert Dash," and an exciting live auction emceed by former Snohomish County executive Bob Drewel.
"Lights, Camera...Chocolate! is just the way to begin your spring time activities," said Margaret Bruland, the agency's executive director. "Wonderful gift packages, from getaways to gotta-haves, airline tickets, theatre tickets, hotel stays, fantastic baskets and more will be going to the highest bidder."
Invitations and tickets for the fundraiser, to be held at the Everett Events Center, are available through March 23. Ticket prices are $75 for individuals, $70 per person for couples and entire tables of 10 are available for $650.
"The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.," said Bruland. "Come early and come ravenous!"
