Items up for bid at the upcoming Silvana Fair auction would be right at home at the country festival-a bull, a pony, homemade baked goods and even a golf cart will be sold to the highest bidder at the March 14 event at Silvana's Viking Hall.

Proceeds from the annual auction help support the Silvana Fair, which will be held on July 25 this year. Money raised at the auction allows the fair to remain free to the public. Admission to the auction is also free, and reservations are not required.
According to Roy Strotz, one of the event organizers, "Some of the items up for auction include a golf cart, golf packages, a pony, 2 Holstein steer calves, a Holstein bull calf, antique saw blades, animal grain and lots more items." There will also be a door prize drawing for a trip for two to Las Vegas.
In keeping with the country fair atmosphere, auction attendees will be invited to munch on hot dogs, apple crisp, cookies, popcorn, ice cream, nachos, pop and coffee.
