New Lions Club formed in Tulalip
The newest Lions Club in Snohomish County meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at noon at the Tulalip Casino Carvery/Cabaret. The service organization began meeting in March of this year and already boasts more than 30 members. Its charter was officially celebrated at a dinner held November 14 at the Tulalip Casino, according to club member Ken Kettler, president of the Tulalip Gaming Organization.
The Tulalip Lions Club's president is Summer Hatch, vice-president is Keith Osburn, and Anita Rutherford serves as secretary.
Lions Club volunteers and their recruits were on hand for the November 11 playground build at the Tulalip Boys and Girls Club.
"We'd love to have more residents and business owners join us," said member (and official Lion Tamer) Linda Tolbert. "It's a great club and we've got plans for many more service projects."
