Facebook has become a ubiquitous tool for personal contacts and casual conversations, but how do you enhance your Facebook presence and create a social media marketing strategy for your small business?
The Snohomish County Tourism Bureau and Everett Community College host "Facebook for Business" on Tuesday, May 17, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at EvCC's Corporate and Continuing Education Center, 2333 Seaway Blvd. in Everett.
The class is designed for businesses that already have basic Facebook fan or group pages and are ready to develop that Facebook presence for more effectiveness
Learn how to add photo galleries and events, use polls, quizzes and contests to grow your 'likes,' develop your fan base, add and edit security and privacy settings, and post items to other sites. You'll also learn how to use other social media options such as Twitter and blogs, get recommendations for a good splash page and learn how to add new tabs and other applications.
The workshop instructor, Greg Marshall, has been a computer instructor for 16 years and teaches office productivity software, Internet tools and image editing. Marshall will also lead an optional one-hour laboratory training following the workshop.
