Sound Harley-Davidson in Smokey Point was awarded Harley-Davidson Motor Company's prestigious Platinum Bar and Shield Circle of Distinction Award, which is given to the top six dealerships in the United States, for the 2010 calendar year. Sound Harley-Davidson ranked number two in nationwide sales.

Dealers earn the award based on motorcycle and related products sales performance, an evaluation of customer service and satisfaction, and various operational measures.

"We have worked very hard since opening almost five years ago to earn our customers' business," said Scott Smernis, Sound Harley-Davidson owner and dealer principal. "We are excited to be recognized by the motor company as number two in the nation out of 600-plus dealers. We will continue to base our business on the philosophy of making every effort to exceed our customers' expectations."

Since its opening at 16212 Smokey Point Blvd. in Marysville in September 2006, Sound Harley-Davidson has earned the Bronze Bar and Shield Circle of Excellence Award in 2007, and two Gold Bar and Shield Awards in 2008 and 2009.
