HomeStreet Bank's Marysville branch is hosting the first open-air Small Business Fair, encouraging consumers to shop at locally-owned businesses. The event is set for Friday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the bank in the Safeway Plaza parking lot.

More than 20 small businesses are expected to participate in the debut event, including retail shops, food and coffee establishments, personal service companies and more. There is no fee to participate, and the bank will provide the table setup and table covering.

Small businesses in the Marysville area are encouraged to reserve a display table, with a registration deadline of September 2. To participate, call branch manager Marilyn Boe at (360) 651-0308.
