Marysville Mayor Dennis Kendall and City Councilmembers helped cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the new Dollar Tree store, 1254 State Ave. Suite A, in Safeway Plaza on Saturday, Feb. 6. Dollar Tree, headquartered in Chesapeake, Va., operates more than 3,500 stores across the country, with over two dozen in Washington. The opening featured a day of hoop-shooting prize giveaways, free hot dogs, Chester Cheetah, in-store deals, and guest appearances by the 2010 Miss Washington USA and Miss Teen Washington USA pageant winners.
