WineStyles, a wine "boutique" located at 6608-64th Street NE in the Marysville IGA complex, recently celebrated its second anniversary with a week of special events that included wine tastings and charitable fundraisers.

"We've had an exciting second year in business," said Eric Emery, WineStyles Marysville owner, "and wanted to celebrate it with our customers, Wine Club members, friends and family."

Established in 2008, the Marysville store is a locally-owned boutique wine shop that's part of the world's largest privately-held wine store franchise. The local shop has seen incredible growth since it opened, according to Emery, thanks to the thousands of loyal customers and businesses in Marysville.

Rather than marketing wines by region or grape, WineStyles offers selections based on taste, with distinctions such as crisp, fruity and mellow. The store also provides information on pairing wine with favorite foods plus a rotating selection of over 170 world-class wines, many exclusive to WineStyles, and hard-to-find choices from vineyards around the world. Most of the wines are priced between $10 and $25 per bottle.

"As our customers have learned during our second year, we're the ideal solution for the overwhelmed wine novice or connoisseur, because we've torn down the pretentious walls typically associated with wine," Emery explained. "We've been dedicated to providing Marysville with the best customer service, and we encourage everyone who visits our store to purchase what they like based on taste, not on price or region."
