Actors, singers, songwriters and musicians are invited to audition for upcoming performances planned by Red Curtain Productions at the Historic Everett Theatre.
The Hometown Hootenanny, a monthly live music series produced by Red Curtain, features both amateur and professional local talent in its country-themed shows. In September, the Hootenanny focuses on original compositions with a Songwriters' Showcase. Subsequent shows are built around country, folk and bluegrass musical styles.
Auditions for the Hootenanny are set for Tuesday and Wednesday, July 20 and 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby in downtown Everett. Audition appointments are required; contact brandallrcf@gmail.com for a time slot.
The first play of the 2010-2011 Red Curtain season is Neil Simon's "London Suite," which will be presented Sept. 16-26. Auditions for the 12-person cast are set for Sunday, August 1, from 2 to 6 p.m., with callbacks if needed on Monday. To schedule an appointment, contact sholdez@gmail.com or call (425) 760-0346.
