North County Outlook is a community newspaper serving residents and businesses in Marysville, Arlington, Smokey Point, Tulalip, Lakewood and Quil Ceda Village. NCO is owned by three Snohomish County women: Sue Stevenson, Beckye Randall and Anita Wuellner. The paper is supported by three additional employees: Beth Opel in advertising sales, Debbie Glidden in sales support and Carrie Harris in graphic design, along with several freelance columnists and writers who contribute to the paper's robust content.

Beckye Randall Beckye Randall has over 30 years experience in graphic design, journalism, marketing and public relations. The daughter of a printer and newspaper publisher, she has embraced the industry’s steady march into the digital age while valuing the connections made possible through hometown newspapers. She recently received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, the culmination of many years of part-time college enrollment while working. An active member of her community, Beckye was a valuable leader of the Everett Theatre Society during the restoration of the Historic Everett Theatre, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts..

Advertising Manager
Sue Stevenson When Sue ended a successful 25-year career in advertising sales with the local weekly newspaper, she was in search of new challenges. She loved being “on the street,” helping business owners with their advertising needs and being an active participant in the community. Sue is an expert at building relationships, and is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our advertising partners. In addition to her work at North County Outlook, Sue is an active member of the Marysville Sunrise Rotary organization.

Finance Director, Feature Writer
Anita Wuellner Anita Wuellner is a business professional with a financial and legal background who helps oversee the company’s accounting activities and is a contributing writer. Anita has been an active volunteer for literacy and teen services. Her keen eye and mastery of grammar are put to good use each issue, as she proofreads the paper carefully before it goes to print.

Beth Opel Beth brings years of advertising sales experience in the local area and offers an in-depth understanding of the needs of her clients. She is a source of expert advice for business advertisers and an advocate for the local community. A consummate professional, Beth is also a mother and active participant in community and school activities.

Graphic Design

Carrie Harris Like all our staff members, Carrie simply walked in our door one morning to apply for a position we didn't know we had. Lucky for us! Carrie is a talented graphic designer, having honed her skills with years of production work at The Herald and other local papers and as a freelance graphic artist. In addition to her impressive design skills, her can-do attitude and friendly personality make her an indispensable member of the team.

Sales Assistant

Debbie Glidden Marysville resident Debbie Glidden is our "right-hand girl," assisting the sales staff with retail advertising and managing the classified directories and liner ads. She formerly worked for two other local papers and she displays a great work ethic and dedication to customer service to our business. An avid motorcyclist, Debbie is the proud owner of a Harley "Fat Boy," and she and her husband enjoy weekend rides with the gang from Sound Harley-Davidson.
